Golden Boy
The carousel.
Like a carousels at the state fair, fresh garments are seated on a plates and take a ride around the massive screen printing machines at Golden Boy’s warehouse location in Tempe, Arizona. Round and round, station to station, shirts and sweaters get inked with each color of the design. The warm glow of heat lamps where shirts are flash dried pulse on, and off, and on again. The pumping of machinery and pressing of rollers produced an audible pulse that is the heartbeat of the operation.
From the fabrication of the design onto a printing screen, to tagging of apparel, Golden Boy conducts every part of the screen printing process, at scale, like a well orchestrated symphony.
